Well, well, well. What do we have here?

Wow!! It's been over a year since I last posted on here. I really do apologize for that. Life happens, right? Right. A lot has happened in the past year, I don't even know where to start. 

Let's see:

• My grandma passed away Feb 24, 2011. She lived a great long life (she was 92). I'm glad I got to say my goodbye to her, and spend the last few years with her. 
• My aunt passed away January 22, 2012 after being in the hospital for a little over three months. As long as I know she's not suffering anymore, that's all that matters.
• My younger sister, who got married July 5, 2011, just found out her and her marine husband are having a boy!! I can't wait to meet my new nephew!
• Older sister got married after almost 7 years in Costa Rica (January 6, 2012). The wedding was beautiful. The only thing that was sad was the fact the our mom & aunt couldn't go because aunt was still in the hospital. 





I recently graduated with my AAS degree in Medical Assisting on July 10. My ceremony isn't until Oct 9. Then I went back to school to get my AA degree. I won't graduate with that until January or April of 2013.

Last year (Oct 1), I met someone that would change my life forever. He's super amazing!
I've moved 2x to the next city over. Will be moving back to Fremont, but with the same housemates.
The day after my birthday this past year, I got engaged!!!!

I'm trying to get back into blogging and posting videos. I've just lost inspiration. :( What would you like to see?

New Zodiac Signs? Yeah..... RIGHT!!!

This is just my opinion on the "new zodiac sign" Ophiuchus. I can't pronounce this thing for the life of me, so it shouldn't be a new zodiac sign. HAHA I kid!!

Anyway, I'm not an astrologer, nor do I claim to be one, but this "new zodiac" is a fraud. If you've done your research, then you'd know what I'm talking about. Your Sun sign [Zodiac sign] is based on the day you were born & how the planets were aligned. The only time you're a different sign from when you're referring to a different planet sign or when you're referring to your ascending sign [my ascending sign is Scorpio].

For instance, your Sun sign can be Taurus, while your Saturn sign is Libra & your ascending sign is Aries. It all depends on the day AND time you were born & the place you were born [to determine your ascending sign].

Okay, back on track. All 12 signs are also constellations, as Ophiuchus is. If we were to add a constellation to the zodiac list, then ORION'S BELT, URSA MAJOR & URSA MINOR would also be zodiac signs, right? I mean, let's just add them in so there's 16 zodiac signs!!

The Earth has has always & will always be shifting it's rotation on its axis because of the fact that it's not a set axis. You know when your wheels on your car get missed aligned & ppl can fix it for you? Well, no one can really fix the Earth's alignment on its axis because that would take a HUGE machine & a few thousand of people & years to take to make the damn machine.

Hopefully I didn't bore you with all this & that you aren't thinking, "What the freak is she talking about? Where did she get all this information? And who does she think she is?" Like I said: I'm just sharing MY knowledge & research with you AND I'm no pro. I've read a few astrology books, & read information online.

With all this said, your zodiac sign is the same sign it's always been before January 13th, 2011!!  I'm a Cancer & will always be a Cancer.

30 Day Challenge - Day 07: Your Favorite Animal

As you can tell, my favorite animal is a dog. This photo is a picture of my Pitbull/Doberman named Chase. I miss him so much! I had to give him away a month after this photo was taken.

I was never a cat person, only because I couldn't have cats. My whole family is allergic to them. I love me some puppies!! I've always wanted a pug, though. Maybe when I get my own house [not rent a house or apartment], I'll get my pug!

Okay, I'm not a HUGE Hello Kitty fan & never really was one. I was more of a Pochacco & Pekkle fan, along with Batz Maru. Anyway, I was browsing through the 'Net & found this on uglydress.com. EW!! It's a hideous wedding dress!! Totallly making me dislike Hello Kitty even more.

Who would actually wear this thing? Would you? Please tell me you answered NO! Lol

Another year of my life has past...

June 28, 1983 I was born in a small province of Isabela, Philippines called Cauayan. As I write this blog, smoking a cigarette, I started to think back on how my life, like all of our lives, had its ups & downs. My life has never been perfect & it's from the choices we make as people.

I've been to hell & back, as I'm sure, like most of us HUMANS have. In my opinion, if you haven't, then you're not living life. The past few years have been crap for me, but I'm slowly getting back on my feet to make life better for everyone in my life & myself.

I thank GOD all the time for letting me live another day. I thank my family for all the love, support & good times, even though I don't deserve it. To my close friends (Thuy, Shana, Nanta, Lani, Amanda, Lovely... Just to name a few) for ALWAYS being here when I need someone to vent to or just laugh with. You guys keep me sane. And to you who read my blog, follow my twitter, subscribe to my youtube... Thank you for supporting my love & hobby of beauty. You all inspire me to pursue my childhood dream of being a MUA for others, to help women AND men realize that you too can enhance & embrace your beauty from within.

With that said, here's to another year!

Crest 3D White Vivid Toothpaste Test/Review

So, I always see the commercials for this dental hygiene line. I had to try it out! The official website for this toothpaste says that it's supposed to "Whiten teeth by removing up to 80% of surface stains in just 14 days with Crest 3D White Vivid Toothpaste. Its patented enamel safe whitening ingredient polishes away stains to gently whiten teeth."

I'm putting it to the test starting today by using this toothpaste for the next 14 days. It's a good way to start it since it is Sunday.

My first thoughts of Crest 3D White Vivid Toothpaste: It's a paste with little gels particles. I don't know about you, but I like toothpaste that foam up. It makes my teeth feel cleaner. The little gels act like an exfoliant for your teeth. So my teeth feel even more clean than it would without them. What about the "taste"?! It's super refreshing!!!! That's all I can say about it.

Hrmmm....after the initial 14 days, we'll see how much it whitens my teeth! I took a picture of my teeth earlier when I first woke up. So I'll post a "Before & After" photo the day after Day 14. Until then....

Unconditional love

This photo was taken on my 1st birthday, which was about 26 yrs ago (do the math). The lady holding me is the most beautiful, inspirational, loving, hilarious person I've ever known in my life... My mother.

My mom is a single mother & raised 3 girls to adult hood with the help of my grandmother & aunts. Mine & my sisters relationship with our mom wasn't your Gilmore Girls kind... Not even close to it, until recently.

I was never really the type of girl growing up to run to her mom when I had problems or anything. Instead I would turn to drugs, alcohol & the "bad girl club" with my friends (which started in middle school). I thought this was a way to get attention from my mom. It was, but not in the good way. I could never run to her when I got my first bf, first kiss, or when I had questions about sex.

I never really told my mom about my past relationships with the guys or girls, except recently. I told my mom about Rob. Why!? I have no clue! Haha!

Yesterday (06/10) mom turned 61. Yup! That's right! She's passed her 60's. To be honest, she still looks like she can be in her late 40s-early 50s.

Mom, thank you for everything you sacrificed for us. For everything you couldn't give and everything you could give to us. I really wish I could turn back time to fix our relationship, but I like our relationship now. <3

A week into the new year....

So, I've been meaning to blog about the new year/past year.... But, I've been emotionally... BUSY?
As I get older, I noticed that the years come and go.  I wouldn't say that this past year wasn't "wasted", but a big portion of the year went wasted. I met a lot of new people that I thought I could trust, and got reunited with old friends & also, reconnected w/ my best friend.
Most of my year was spent on twitter, makeupgeek.com, temptalia.com, youtube & every other makeup community you can think of. HAHA!! I'm REALLY glad that I finally got into my new passion for makeup, b/c if that never happened, I wouldn't have met a whole bunch of AH-MAZE-ING people :] (MUBs & FEXIs) They're the most inspirational, motivational, down-for-you kind of folks! The people that you NEED in your life.
A couple months was spent working for a network marketing company. That didn't go so well, obviously since I don't work for the company anymore. I met a lot of cool people through that company, but haven't really kept in touch with them since I left. Oh well! =X But, the good thing about that era of last year, my best friend & I became best friends again! (Long story.. don't ask!)
Toward the end of the year, I reconnected with some old friends... Which was cool...
I should be in Vegas, but nope, not yet. LOL Will be there SOON!!! I need to get out of Cali!! Causing too much drama here!! Well, I'm not. There's just way too much shit!!
So yeah, that's my past year.. in a quick one. I'll post my top 10 fave products of 2009... soon!! I swear!

The Filipino Take-over!

So, I was watching TFC (The Filipino Channel) on Sunday with my mom & aunt. There's this one variety show called ASAP`09. At the end of the show, there were a few singers that have made their mark in 2009. After Miss Lea Salonga sang (she's one of my favorite singers), she introduced CNN's Hero of the Year 2009: Efren Peñaflorida. I didn't know exactly what he did to be a hero, so I googled it: Click here for his article. I was truly amazed at what he does & he truly deserves such an outstanding award. All I have to say is: WATCH OUT WORLD!! FILIPINOS ARE TAKING OVER!!!

This whole year, Filipinos are making their mark!! Arnel Pineda made his mark by becoming San Francisco's Journey's lead singer, one of the greatest band's. He was discovered by one of the band members of Journey from YouTube. Pineda did a few covers of Journey's songs with his own band. If you haven't heard Journey's new album, Revolution, you probably can't tell that it's Pineda singing & not the original lead singer, Gregg Rolie.
Charice Pempengco got discovered two years ago by Ellen Degeneres from watching her YouTube videos. She then got discovered by Oprah earlier this year. Since then, her fame rose! While this happened, she still manages to be humble about everything. I think that's why I'm such a fan of hers. A young girl (only 17) with a powerful voice since she was younger, she's bound to make it in one of the toughest industries in the world. Because Oprah has a larger fan base than Ellen does, her fame grew even more. She was lucky enough to sing with one of my idols, Andrea Bocelli. She also sang with Celine Dion, which is her idol. She's living the life that most young girls have been dreaming about since they were younger. All I have to say to Cherice is: Keep doing what you're doing by not letting your fame get to you. I'd hate to see such great talent & image go down the drain like the Disney girls'.
I've always been a Black Eyed Peas fan since as long as I can remember (before Fergie was in the picture). Since 2003 when the track "The Apl Song" came out, Apl-de-ap has been around the Filipino radar. Black Eyed Peas' fan base grew even more since then, as well. In 2005, BEP came out with "Bebot", which is an all Tagalog track. Apl-de-ap has been doing big things: he started The Apl Foundation, which gives back to communities & children in the Philippines & other Asian countries, and also started Jeepney Music, Inc. (his own music company). In BEP's latest album, The E.N.D, he has another track called, "Mare".
Since I was younger, my family has been watching boxing matches. Since 2003, Manny Pacquiao has been a common name in most Filipino households. He's made history recently by being the first fighter in boxing history to win seven world titles in seven different weight divisions. Now what does that tell you? A short little Filipino guy can kick some ass! I wasn't really a fan of his until I started to follow up on who this "Pac-Man" was.

I can really say that I'm really & truly proud to be a Filipino!

New blog... again!!!

HAHA! I know I change blog sites ALL THE TIME! But you know what? "You can't tell me!!" [According to Shana - IMY!!]

Anyway, with Thanksgiving out of the way, it's time to get ready for Christmas. Really? Where did this year go?! I know! Most of it was spent on Twitter!! HAHA =X
